This past week, Pine Crest senior and captain Molly See gave her verbal commitment to Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. See announced her commitment via Instagram, captioning:

“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Bucknell University! Thank you to all my coaches, family, and friends who have helped me get to this point. Go Bison!”

See is quite the world traveler. She was born in Pennsylvania, moved to Tokyo, from there to Jacksonville, and back to Tokyo. Here, See attended the American School in Japan. After growing up around the world, she settled down in Fort Lauderdale at Pine Crest for her high school years. See has been swimming under Mariusz Podkoscielny, a two-time Olympian. Many of Podkoscielny’s swimmers have decided to continue swimming competitively at a high level in college.

See is a middle-distance swimmer, specifically in butterfly and freestyle. She represented her club team at Futures Championship in 2016 and 2017, where she was a finalist and part of the girls second place team in 2017. See is also a valuable part of the Pine Crest high school team. As a multiple-time 1A State finalist, she helped her team to win runner up. See’s incredible career has lead her to continue her swimming in the division I college level.

From the beginning, See says, “ I choose Bucknell because of the amazing atmosphere I felt when I stepped on the campus, as well as the team and coaches who felt like a giant family.”

See does not just work hard in the pool, but also in the classroom. She earned a nearly perfect SAT score, National Honor Society, and will be graduating as one of the top students in her class. See is a valuable player and will be a great asset to the Bison’s this coming fall.

Congratulations, Molly! We wish you the best of luck as a Bison!
