Florida Swim Network

October 12, 2014—11-Time All-American, state record holder and 2-time High School State Champion in the 50 Freestyle, Kasey Schmidt, commits to Virginia.

From Kasey Schmidt

“I’m thrilled to announce my decision to attend The University of Virginia.  UVA’s academic reputation and my rapport with the Busch brothers led me to Charlottesville, but the girls on the team and the area won me over!  I appreciate the other incredible opportunities I had and I am grateful to have formed relationships with some amazing athletes and coaches along the way. Ultimately, I chose to be part of the program that makes me happiest.  I can’t wait to be in Virginia with my team! WAHOOWA!”
