Mabel and Rosie Zavaros earned spots on Canada’s Pan Pacific and Junior Pan Pacific teams, respectively. Both Mabel and Rosie earned a spot in the finals for all of their events at their respective championships.

Mabel represented team Canada at the 2018 Pan Pacs in Tokyo, Japan. She qualified for the A Final of the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:12.97. She knocked off a full three seconds in the finals and placed sixth, with a swim of 2:09.95. She improved on her qualifying time of 1:00.34, with a mark of 1:00.22, in the B Final of the 100-meter butterfly as she placed sixth. After she posted a time of 2:12.20 in the 200-meter backstroke, she recorded a time of 2:12.18 and placed seventh in the B Final.

Rosie swam for the Canadians at the 2018 Jr. Pan Pacs in Suva, Fiji. She notched a time of 2:15.86 in the prelims of the 200-meter backstroke and qualified for the A Final. In the final, Rosie improved her time to 2:14.81 and placed fourth in the 200-meter backstroke. She posted a time of 1:04.45 in the prelims of the 100-meter backstroke, before she placed sixth in the B Final with a mark of 1:04.37. She wrapped up the championship with an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter individual medley B Final, where she swam a 2:23.71.
