In the first night of racing in Indianapolis, the record books were rewritten, namely with Stanford’s 800 free relay demolishing the NCAA, American, and US Open records by over 3 seconds, going 6:45.91. Although their relay did not include any Floridians, the state of Florida was well represented. Highlights included:

Women’s 800 free relay:

Texas senior and Floridian Tasija Karosas anchored the Longhorns’ relay in a blazing 1:42.86, leading them to a 4th place finish. Sophie Cattermole, Louisville sophomore and Englewood native, contributed a 1:46.41 en route to Lousville’s 8th place relay, grabbing those crucial A final points. Texas A&M sophomore and Oldsmar native Sydney Pickrem split a 1:45.59 on the Aggies’ 9th place relay.
