Gator alums Mitch D’Arrigo and Corey Main competed at the 2017 US Nationals this past week.
Both D’Arrigo and Main qualified for A finals in every event they competed in, with each swimming in three races.
On Thursday, D’Arrigo earned silver in the 500 free, posting a personal-best time of 4:10.78 in the A final. During the preliminary session, he qualified as the top seed, recording a 4:13.70.
Later that day, Main placed eighth in the 50 free with a time of 19.81, improving upon his prelim time of 19.92.
Both men found success in the 200 free final on Friday, with D’Arrgio earning bronze and Main finishing sixth. D’Arrigo recorded a time of 1:33.51, improving on his 1:34.28 prelim time, while Main posted a time of 1:35.75 in the final.
Main also competed in the 100 back A final on Friday, finishing sixth with a time of 47.07.
D’Arrigo picked up his second silver medal in the 1,650 free on Saturday, finishing second with a time of 14:43.87 to wrap up his events. Main finished his competition placing fourth in the 200 back with a time of 1:42.45.
