Florida Swim Network is thrilled to have upgraded their steaming of swim meets with a new format. Viewers will tune in to see the live broadcast as usual, but the interface is even easier to use. A chat room is directly to the side of the broadcast as always, allowing quick questions or “shout outs,” but we have even more exciting features! Just below the video player, viewers will be able to see realtime updates, photos, blog posts, interviews and more.
DVR-Like Experience
For the first time ever, our viewers will be able to stop the live action and rewind to see a swim over and over again, just like watching at home with your DVR.
Created Highlights
We’ll have the ability to create a highlight of a great race or even isolate each event so you can share it with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or even email… how cool is that?!
Live Blog Updates
We’ll be able to bring you blog updates from “on the deck” during the action.
Photos & Videos
Just like we post photos of the meet and interviews with swimmers and coaches to our Facebook page, now we can post them right beneath the live streaming video in real time. Once again, share these photo and videos with your friends and family right away with a single click!
Just like before, you can watch right on your computer, iPad, mobile device, and smart phone. And if you can’t watch the event when it is live, don’t worry…everything is saved for you to view later, including all the blog posts, photos, interviews, and highlights.
The only drawback is we can’t yet embed this new format directly to our Facebook page, but programmers promise we will be able to soon, so stay tuned! We’re very excited to “test-drive” this new format this weekend at Senior Champs – click here to take a sneak peek!
