Congrats to SYS for winning an astounding 7th combined team championship at the YMCA Nationals this week in Greensboro, NC.
Outstanding swims came from Danielle Valley, who won four golds, along with Sophie Cattermole, Hannah James, and Taylor Katz. Matt O’Donnell, Carter Page, and Drew Clark also scored major points for the team. Spence Atkins and Ellie Berdusco finished well in the mile, along with Valley who set a new national Y record with a time of 16:04.69.
Bethany Leap and Nancy Hu along with Liam McKane place well in Fly, scoring even more points for SYS. Finally, the boy;s 400 Free Relay, with Alex Katz, Peyton Leeson, McKane, and Thomas Rutherford, helped secure the overall team victory.
