October 14, 2014—Clearwater’s speedy IMer and backstroke, Sydney Pickrem, picks Texas A & M for her college career. After finally picking her college, “she was very happy with her decision,” says her coach Randy Reese.

“I just loved the school, the team and everything they had to offer,” Pickrem said. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew when I was there it was the place for me.”1

After winning two individual state titles and two relay titles, she has more work to do.  Just this past month she broke her own 200 IM conference record with a 2:00.61 and Megan Romano’s older record in the 100 Back with a 54.54 (and she hasn’t rested yet).

Being a dual citizen with Canada, she competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials.  Being one of the state’s top 2015 college recruit, it should be interesting to watch.
