Pine Crest team captain and senior, Jacob Silberman, committed to Williams College.

“Excited to finally announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Williams College. I want to thank my parents, coaches, teammates, and friends for all of the support throughout my career up until this point. Excited to see what’s to come in the future #EPHPRIDE #’23”

Silberman’s advanced academic and incredible athletic career have led him to swimming at the collegiate level. Silberman has swam high school for Pine Crest since his freshman year. He has been a valuable part of many of the Pine Crest relays over the years. Silberman’s junior year state championship medley relay came in third; he swam a 26.3 backstroke leg. He also placed fourth in the 100 breast that year, touching in 58.16. Throughout the season, he swam the 100 fly and the 200 IM as his alternative events. As team captain this year at the 1A State Championship meet, he led the Pine Crest boy’s team to a fifth place overall finish!

Silberman also swims club at Pine Crest under coach Mariusz Podkoscielny. Silberman has qualified for and attended the past two Futures championship meets. At the 2017 Futures meet, he was a valuable component of the fifth place 400 medley relay finish, swimming the breaststroke leg. Locally, Silberman has had many Sectional and Senior Champs finals swims in his breaststroke and butterfly events, including a top-four finish in the 100 breast at the Senior Champs.

We wish you the best of luck as an Eph! Congratulations, Jacob.
