Leon High School senior Kyndall Cardoso has verbally committed to Thomas University in Thomasville, Georgia.

This past year Cardoso has had a monumental high school season, posting times that landed her on the podium at the 3A State Championship. Under coach Terrence Maguire at Leon, Cardoso placed 7th in the 100 fly, earning her the coveted state medal, as well as 19th in her 200 IM.

For club, Cardoso swims for Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club under Terry Maul and Sami Pochowski. Since starting the sport 13 years ago, Cardoso’s passion and commitment has only grown, adding to ATAC’s success.

After hours of research, Cardoso found her home in Thomasville. Academically, Thomas University offered Cardoso the exact program she was looking for. The deciding factor, however, was the swim team. During her recruiting trip and her talks with the coach, she knew it was where she wanted to go.

Cardoso announced her commitment on Instagram, where she wrote,

“I am super excited and blessed to announce that I have committed to Thomas University for swimming!!!! I am so grateful to have the opportunity to swim for such an amazing team and to pursue my studies there as well. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. Go Night Hawks!!!!!”

Congratulations to Kyndall. We wish her luck as a Nighthawk!
