A four-time 4A state finalist Erin Tague has committed to swim at Assumption College, a Division II school just outside of Boston, MA. Assumption has been a dominate D2 force in the Northeast, placing second in the Northeast 10 Conference last year.

“I am so excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at Assumption College! Go Hounds!”

Tague swims for Palm Beach Gardens High under coach Dian Hoock and has been their top swimmer since her freshman year. She has made finals at the state level for the past four years. This past season, Tague placed 14th in the 200 and 11th in the 500 freestyle, posting personal bests in both.

For club swimming, Tague swims under coach Alf Aguirre at North Palm Beach Swim Club. There, she became a Futures qualifier and a top scorer. Just this past summer, Tague was a two-time champion at the FGC Senior Championships and helped her girls team place fifth overall. She also joined her team at the TYR Pro Meet in Columbus, Ohio, where she swam personal bests in the 200 and 400 freestyle events.

Outside of the pool, Tague is a proud member of her school’s National Honor Society and one of the top students in Palm Beach Gardens.

Tague’s decision to commit to Assumption was an easy one. The opportunities that Assumption offered, such as its proximity to Boston and a pre-dental program, drew her in. However, the team sealed the deal. On her visit, Tague saw a team that was friendly, competitive, supportive, and dedicated; she knew she wanted to be a Greyhound before her plane landed back in Florida.

Top SCY Times:

100 Freestyle: 54.81

200 Freestyle: 1:52.99

Congratulations Erin and good luck on the next four years!
