Christina Cianciolo has committed to Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, which competes in the Ivy League.

“Beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swim and studies at Dartmouth College!! Such an incredible to have the love and support of my friends and family! Thanks y’all and GO BIG GREEN”

Cianciolo swims for Riverview High in Sarasota under Brent Arckey. For the past four years, Ciancolo has been a dominant force at the 4A state meet. She has made A-Final since her freshman year, and has helped her team place in the top-five four years in a row. Just this past season, Cianciolo had her best individual finish, placing fourth in the 200 and second in 500 freestyle. She lead her 400 freestyle relay to a silver medal, which helped Riverview place third overall.

For club, Cianciolo swims for the Sarasota YMCA Sharks, which is also run by Arckey. In USA Swimming, Cianciolo is a Summer Junior National qualifier and YMCA National qualifier. This past April, she was a four-time finalist at the YMCA Short Course Nationals, where she posted best times.

Despite her love for Riverview and the Sarasota Sharks, Cianciolo can not wait to swim for the Big Green next fall. She fell in love with the team and the environment that Dartmouth has created, as well as the opportunities and connections that an Ivy League school can offer.

As a first generation college student, Cianciolo is ecstatic about “starting this next chapter in [her] life.”
