Champion Diver Brooke Schultz Commits to Florida Gators
Gainesville, FL—Junior World Champion and Senior Nationals Champion diver Brooke Schultz committed to the University of Florida Gators. After recently winning the Junior World’s in Penza, Russia and USA Diving’s Senior Nationals in the 1 meter this summer in Orlando, she is excited about the academic and diving opportunities at Florida. Although a junior, she is already super pumped about being a Gator. She is currently the high school state record holder in Arkansas and Indiana an now is set to take on Florida’s record before joining the Gators.
“I really like the facilities, love the weight program, and the academics are great here. I am also looking forward to the great team aspect they have, the swimmers, the divers, and the entire interaction,” Brooke told FSN today.
Brooke has also been named to the 2015 Junior Pan American Championships team. Competition is set for October 8-11 in Matanzas, Cuba.
Just over this past year, the Florida Gators have built a very good diving program, and coach Schultz promises to have even more in surprises in the future.
