Caeleb Dressel Commits to Florida

One of the top recruits in the nation, Bolles Swimming’s Caeleb Dressel, has committed to the University of Florida, keeping his talents right here in the Sunshine State. UF head coach Gregg Troy is the perfect person to help Caeleb adapt to the unique collegiate training of UF’s stand-out swim program, and we suspect that they both have their sights set on helping Caeleb go after Olympic aspirations. Caeleb most recently competed in the 2A State High School Meet for Clay High School where he set a new state record in the 200 Free and helped lead his school’s relays to wins. Before high school season, Caeleb was a leader on Team USA’s National Junior Team that competed at Worlds in Dubai. (Check out the photos he sent back to FloridaSwimNetwork during his time there.) Most excitedly, Caeleb claimed gold in the 100 Free at the World Championships, breaking Michael Phelp’s national age group record for 17-year-olds.
